High surface finish N6, of the tunnel’s inner edge in order to prevent
flow separation.
The tunnel’s units are connected by flanches, which contain EPDM
seals in order to prevent air leakage.
In order to prevent movements and vibrations the tunnel is secured to
the lab construction’s.
Modular and possess potential for future development.

Main Requirements
Laminar, homogeneous and quiet flow along the tunnel, with turbulence
level under 0.2%.
The dimensions of the tunnel will be optimized in order to fit in into the
lab, where it will be located.
Engineering considerations
Close loop wind tunnel with 50X50 cm test chamber, maximum speed
60 m/sec (40,000 Reynolds per cm).
Wind tunnel dimensions are 9425mm length, 4592 mm width and
2496 mm height.
The wind tunnel consists of 17 birch plywood and galvanized steel units.
