WTAPS Wind Turbine Airborne Power Station
The project is a technology breakthrough in the energy engineering field
Goal and Motivation:
The purpose of the WTAPS project is utilizing the wind energy resources in the country in
an optimal manner and thereby contributes to the country’s clean energy.
Project focused on higher altitudes where the wind blows intensely and more stabilized in
relative to the surface nearest.
Concept Design
Major benefits:
Green energy .
The wind does not stop at night.
Wind energy is efficiently
converted into electricity and
transported away.
Ideal windy sites are plains,
hilltops, wind gaps and offshore,
not where people live but in close
proximity to them.
Key requirements:
Convert wind energy to
mechanical energy.
Convert mechanical energy to
electrical energy.
Transfer electrical energy from
altitude to ground level.
Turbine carrier system shall
have an ability to carry
the produce energy
block.
