CNGvs. CBGas analternative fuel
CNGandCBGareboth compressed,methane-based gases.
They canbeused interchangeably as fuel inCNGvehicles.
CBG is obtained from the methane-rich biogas produced from the anaerobic
decomposition of organic wastes at landfills, wastewater treatment plants or other
facilities with digesters .
CBG requires conditioning for the rawbiogas before compression. After conditioning,
CBG is functionally equivalent toCNG.
